Viktor Kossakovsky latest documentary chisels philosophical about the ways stone and concrete building design expresses the values of societies.

Premiering in the main competition of the 74th Berlin International Film Festival in 2024, “Architecton” is a meditation on construction and destruction and hope for the future. Kossakovsky centers his exploration on a landscape project by Italian architect Michele De Lucchi and historical and contemporary ruins in Lebanon and cities in Turkey.

Architecton will be released by A24 in the United States on August 1st, 2025.
