George Clooney’s first collaboration with feel-good-then-bad-then-worse-then-catharsis director Noah Baumbach is the coming-of-age comedy-drama “Jay Kelly.” Written by Baumbach and Emily Mortimer the film follows the friendship between famous actor Jay Kelly (Clooney) and his devoted manager (Sandler) as they embark on a whirlwind and unexpectedly profound journey through Europe. Along the way, both men are forced to confront the choices they’ve made, the relationships with their loved ones, and the legacies they’ll leave behind.

Alongside Clooney and Sandler the ensemble cast that includes Laura Dern, Billy Crudup, Stacy Keach, Jim Broadbent, Patrick Wilson, Eve Hewson, Greta Gerwig, Alba Rohrwacher, Josh Hamilton, Lenny Henry and Emily Mortimer. The film had its world premiere in the main competition of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival on August 28th, 2025, where it was nominated for the Golden Lion.

“Jay Kelly” will be released by Netflix and and in theaters November 14th, 2025.
